Lies, Lies and more Lies!

Stop believing the lies, it will only hold you back to what God has in store for you!

‘The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy. I came that they may have life and have it abundantly. ‘

John 10:10 (ESV)

So I had this believe that I won’t get anything from God. Or have a relationship with Him until I read my Bible and go to church, and get closer to Him by knowing Him first. Like how many of you felt that way? That you believing in God has so many strings attached. When I realised that all this was lies, man I felt so free.

I can remember how I use to cry because I feel like God is far away and I’m never in His presence. So much that I’ve decided that I will do all I can to have a relationship with Him. And even while I was building a relationship with Him it felt like I didn’t get the blessings and hear is voice still.

So every time when my baby boy would take his afternoon nap I will take that time and read my Bible, learn scripture and pray. Until I started doing a course through my church called Spiritual Growth. And boy did I learn how the devil comes and steals from you and what God wants for you. All the things I thought of was lies that the devil whispered in my mind because “Why would God give you anything, you don’t even know Him?”. That is all lies! Yes God wants the relationship what Father doesn’t, and it takes work, but that doesn’t mean that you have to have 15 years of knowledge of God before He blesses you.

Fact: God does want a relationship with His children. He is your Father and would love to know you and your desires, and give you the life you want when you live your life for Him.

It hurts if someone only comes to you when they need something from you rather then having a relationship with them, spending time together.

So all the things I believed before was a lie and it stole from me more then I might know, but God wants you to know that He is always near. He has you. He loves you.

‘Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or danger, or sword? ‘

Romans 8:35 (ESV)

Nothing, NOTHING can separate us from God.

God loves you so much. He wants a relationship with you. He wants to give you life in abundance. He wants you to come home to Him. It breaks God’s heart if we decide to live more according to the world then to the Word.

Here is a piece of hope:

Before the Spiritual Growth Seminar I had a vision while I was doing Bible study and worshipping God. I was just so amazed by what I’ve learned that I just praised Him in a song that came up and I saw this vision of me dancing and then Jesus was there dancing with me. I was close to God and Jesus. I’m not alone – it was always a lie. And I started crying, my mentor even started crying when I told her this. But it is a sweet moment and you can have it too. You just have too draw closer to God.

‘Draw near to God, and he will draw near to you. Cleanse your hands, you sinners, and purify your hearts, you double-minded. ‘

James 4:8 (ESV)

So if you don’t know where to start:

1: Don’t believe the lies.

2: KNOW what God says about you. He doesn’t lie.

3: Rebuke the devil.

4: Spend time with God in His Word.

5: Stay tuned, because I can help you through this.

You aren’t alone. Not just with God being with you, but so many people in the world feels this way because the devil is out too steal God’s children. And that is you. YOU are HIS child. He has so much love for you no matter your life, and I cannot express that enough.

Love,

Your Sister in Christ
